Muse

Why

People wake up and fall asleep to endless scrolling on their phone. This leaves people unhappy without a better alternative. My team was curious about how we could recreate the satisfying feeling of passively consuming content through non-screen based interactions.

What

Muse uses audio, light, and tangible interaction for a delightful and healthy way to wind down at night.

It is a two-part system that collects meaningful audio throughout your day, and replays those clips accompanied with warm light at bedtime.

How

We utilized user research tools and concept mapping to understand the problem space. To craft solutions we used analog/digital sketching and model making.

This was in collaboration with Adella Guo and Jesse Klein.
