Lounge Chair
Why
This project prompt was to simply design and build a chair. This project was a challenge of craft. It required a strong understanding of woodworking techniques and a basic understanding of human factors.
What
I created a lounge chair inspired by Japanese minimal furniture.
How
This chair was build out of walnut wood sourced from my family’s ranch in Arkansas. The seat pan was wrapped with black leather. It was designed through sketching, 3D modeling, and scaled prototyping. It was fabricated with fine woodworking and basic upholstery.
